At Italiaidea, SAI offers a language immersion language program that includes the option to reside in home-stay accommodations.  By living with carefully selected Roman families, students are encouraged to put their Italian Language skills into practice everyday.  Students may also choose to stay in student shared apartments.

Rome is a world-class city where innovative thinking thrives in a bustling urban environment, and history comes alive on every street corner.  Because of the city's unique character, Rome offers unparalleled opportunities for the study abroad visitor.  Especially for students who are studying Italian Language and Culture, visiting Rome offers the academic adventure of a lifetime.

Subjects include:

    * Italian Language (Beginning, Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced)
    * "Italia Oggi" Culture courses offered in Italian

For students who wish to take elective courses in English, a special arrangement has been made for an Italiaidea/ John Cabot University collaboration during semester terms.  Through this program, students are permitted to take Italian

Study Abroad Italy oversees and coordinates all aspects of students' enrollment including application processing, course selection and credit, housing, student health insurance and transcripts. SAI provides comprehensive student services, beginning with pre-departure and leading to our on-site orientation and advising in London.

Message from the Colleges of the Fenway
Global Education Opportunities Center

Please be aware that study abroad involves two application deadlines - the application deadline for "Study Abroad Italy" (SAI - the provider of this study abroad program) and the deadline to seek approval from your home campus Study Abroad Director (in order to receive credit for participating in this program).

In general, you will need to inform your home campus Study Abroad Director by the "Application Deadline" indicated below.  By pressing on the "Apply Now" button, you will begin the process of notifying your home campus Study Abroad Director of your intent to study abroad.  In order to participate in this program, you will also need to follow the application instructions of SAI, as indicated above.

Keep in mind that if it appears that a deadline date has already passed for the time that you wish to study abroad, you should still make contact with both your Study Abroad Director and the program provider, by pressing on the "Request Info" button and stating clearly your desired dates.  While it can never be guaranteed, there are cases when last-minute requests can be accommodated.
