Rabat Summer Program
Rabat offers visitors exciting activities year-round. In July, Moroccans celebrate their culture during the Festival of Rabat. The entire month is devoted to art, music, and movies. Artists across Africa and around the world travel to Rabat to attend the festival of the city's cultural heritage.

The Rabat Summer Program is designed for students interested in gaining or improving Arabic Language skills and offers courses at the beginning, intermediate, and advanced level in Modern Standard Arabic. Elective courses allow students to focus on the social, cultural, political, and religious traditions of North Africa from an historical and contemporary perspective. An additional elective course gives students the opportunity to study Colloquial Moroccan Arabic.

Program Highlights:

• Enroll in a 4-credit Modern Standard Arabic course and 3-credit elective course from one of the following disciplines: Gender Studies, Political Science, and Religious Studies
  
• Travel on IES Abroad field trips to locations throughout Morocco such as Fez and Meknes
• Participate in cultural events such as concerts and guest lectures
• Housing options include living with a Moroccan family to experience first-hand culture or a student residence hall.
