CAPA in Florence:
Ciao Firenze, and welcome to one of the most unique cultures in the world. History abounds as you meander up and down the streets of Florence.
A Beautiful City:
The CAPA Florence Program offers you the opportunity of a lifetime to travel abroad and immerse yourself academically and socially in the local culture. CAPA brings you the best Florence has to offer. Florence does not advertise much of its beauty. The city is quietly enchanting, with museums hidden around every corner and buildings left unchanged for centuries.
Academic Program:
Regardless of your major, the CAPA Florence Program has academic courses to keep you on track while you soak up the history and culture of Florence and the surrounding areas. CAPA offers a variety of study abroad courses with local visits, fine arts courses that take advantage of the visually stunning streets and buildings, and special lectures relevant to your study abroad experience. These courses are designed to engage you in critical thinking and challenge you to pursue subjects in depth through academic and field research in Florence.
Internship Abroad:
CAPA also offers qualified students the option of doing an internship in Italian, or participating in an Advanced Track Italian Language and Internship Program. We have built an extensive network of internship sites, with opportunities available in businesses, nonprofit and nongovernmental organizations of every kind. Work with local people in Italian! Enhance your resume! Build professional skills and gain perspective! CAPA's internship program will help you build a network of international contacts in your field.

Program fees are comprehensive. Everything, except for airfare and spending money, is covered. This includes tuition, housing, and day excursions to both San Gimignano and Siena.
Visit the CAPA Florence Program Homepage for more information about this wonderful opportunity!

Please be aware that study abroad involves two application deadlines - the application deadline for CAPA (the provider of this study abroad program), and the deadline to seek approval from your home campus Study Abroad Director (in order to receive credit for participating in this program).
In general, you will need to inform your home campus Study Abroad Director by the "Application Deadline" indicated below. By pressing on the "Apply Now" button, you will begin the process of notifying your home campus Study Abroad Director of your intent to study abroad. In order to participate in this program, you will also need to follow the application instructions of CAPA, as indicated above.
Keep in mind that if it appears that a deadline date has already passed for the time that you wish to study abroad, you should still make contact with both your Study Abroad Director and the program provider, by pressing on the "Request Info" button and stating clearly your desired dates. While it can never be guaranteed, there are cases when last-minute requests can be accommodated.
